How Does Middleton Bespoke Joinery Work?
Our Process

So you are interested in working with us? We would be delighted to work with you, we understand you may have some questions about how we work - so we have answered them! We look forard to working with you and welcome all ideas and enquiries.

I am interested in working with Middleton Bespoke Joinery, how do I get in touch?

To get started on your project, please send us over any requirements, intent drawings, or images that you have. Alternatively, you can call us to discuss your ideas. We can then begin to compile a quotation for you from the information provided.

What if I am not sure I want my furniture to look like?

We can send you our e-brochure for you to have a look at and gain some inspiration. We can also compile a personalised mood board of ideas to help you decide what you want your furniture to look like and what qualities and functions you may want it to have. The beauty of bespoke, is that the choice is yours.
After the first initial contact, what happens?

We would like to set up a meeting where possible, to fully understand what and how you would like the work to look. You may want to discuss including services such as installation. The meeting is completely free of charge and there is no obligation to proceed at that point. This meeting ensures that we clearly understand you needs and desires of the project, so that we can provide a more accurate and detailed quotation. If you are happy to agree to the terms and the quotation (which are always highly competitive) we can then get started on your project.

I agree and am happy with my quote, I would like to go ahead – what are the next steps?

We start by providing you with fabrication drawings, we will keep you updated on the process. Depending on the complexity, we may need to arrange a site visit to take accurate dimensions and consider any special services that are in place or required. From this we can finalise the fabrication drawings, which you can inspect and sign off when you are happy. At this stage, we often provide any samples that have been requested. These are popular for designers to show their clients to gain approval before the next stage.

I have signed off the fabrication drawings, when will manufacturing begin?

When we are all agreed to proceed, we reserve a build slot with the factory, which will provide you with a specific delivery date. If we are providing installation, we will have a team of experienced installers ready on that date. If the items are not being installed in a finished location, they can be appropriately protected.

What happens after installation?

We will leave the works with our items fully cleaned and ready for you to use. If you agree, we may ask to take photographs to feature on our gallery. You will then have the opportunity to leave us a review on how you think we did and how happy you are with our work.
